Anna..and Martijn.., for example, have hosted many a traveller in their 600-square-foot Amsterdam apartment near the Jordaan. "I love the unexpectedness of it. You never know who's going to come through your door," says Roelofsz, who signed up with Dine with the Dutch a few years ago.
Their dining room table can accommodate up to six people, and they'll often throw one or two of her own friends into the mix. "I try to cook Dutch food...and we have good desserts!"
The quid pro quo is that Roelofsz and de Vries now have connections all over the world. And that is the beauty of supper clubs: They broaden your social network and create opportunities wherever your travels take you.
